We are a small home-based Peterbald Cattery.

We always like cats, however when I saw a Peterbald for the first time I was delighted by their elegant grace and strong body. They appeared at first to have come from another planet but they are breed on Earth! When you touch their warm, velvet skin and look in their beautiful eyes you will never forget this creature.

There are three breeds of hairless cats in the world:

  1. Petersburg Sphynx(or PETERBALD)
  2. Canadian Sphynx
  3. Don Sphynx

Now we have only one couple of Peterbalds. They have pedigrees and certificates from TICA and WCF.

The first one I got in 2007 from my husband as a birthday gift. It was a girl and we named her Destiny. She just adores our family! Last year Destiny was awarded the title of Grand Champion.  Later we decided to bring her a boy-friend named Ninja. He is very intelligent and friendly Peterbald.

We consider our cats to be the family members and treat them as our beloved children. We don't bind them in space. They are not one for solitary living like other cats. They love family life and children and can play with them for hours! This breed is not even known for becoming angry or holding a grudge.

You should know that Peterbalds have a high metabolism and require more food than coated cats. Even though most PD do not have hair, they are not considered hypoallergenic. Peterbalds must be kept warm in cold weather, and shouldn't be allowed outdoors without companionship.

Peterbalds are sweet-tempered, peaceful, curious, smart and energetic. All of their characteristics make Peterbalds an excellent companion cat.

So, in the Peterbald cat you found everything what you wanted from a pet: loyalty of dog, playfulness of monkey, elegance of panther, human look and a bit of ‘alien ‘outfit!

Sincerely,

Olga & Grace Cattery
